Reality

I'm reading a book I don't agree with, sitting in front of an HD channel that broadcasts a yule log with Christmas music. I have come to the conclusion that I will probably never be considered cool again. I don't think Riverbluff will be on the top ten list of coolest churches in Charleston. Nope. Not gonna happen. Heck, man, I'm 62! Ain't nothing cool about 62 (except to some of my 65 year old buddies!)

So what do I/we have to offer the world?  What will be RIverbluff's contribution to the Kingdom of God?

Jesus. That's it! That's all! That's enough!

We really do want to change the world and we think becoming a disciple of Jesus is the way. That's it! Simple and to the point! 

I don't think we'll ever have the reputation of being the coolest church in town...or the church with the best children's program... or the best praise band. But if someone wants to live like Jesus, we might be able to help. That's enough. That's what I would like for us to be known for- helping people become like Jesus.
